Tribute striped Frankenstein super strat electric guitar custom built from a quality parts list I've had these parts laying around in my workshop for a pretty long time.  Finally decided to put it all together.  So, I guess the best way to start the description is with a parts list: Body is a Divebomb Inc.  the neck pocket has a weird/cracked area near the neck pickup route, but it doesn't not affect the stability or the function of the guitar.  I didn't do the paint job.  I don't know if Divebomb did the paint, or if the previous owner of the body bought a raw, unfinished body and painted it. Neck is a really nice Warmoth birdseye maple Strat head C shape with a compound radius.  Neck also has the truss rod adjustment on the side of the heel Floyd Rose tremolo.  Its not a "special", but its also not a really high end or vintage Floyd Rose model.  I'm not sure what model it is. Bridge pickup is a vintage (mid-80s) Seymour Duncan Distortion Neck pickup is a vintage DiMarzio single coil.  It works, but it is not currently wired up in this configuration volume pot is a push-pull wired up to coil tap the bridge pickup, then skips the functional Switchcraft USA 5-way switch and goes to the output.  So, its simply bridge to the volume with the option of push-pull coil tap for single coil or humbucker on the bridge pickup, then to the output jack. adding the functional neck pickup to this wiring diagram would be pretty simple, and if you prefer that I add it before shipping, I would be happy to do arrange that for you.  Its just not wired that way right now. R2 floyd rose nut.  *this locking nut sits slightly off center in the nut slot. I tried several different R2 nuts and they all sat that way.  And it is definitely not an R3 nut (which I tried just to be sure).  So, I'm guessing the neck nut slot was cut just slightly off?  When I say slightly, I'm talking the thickness of a notecard.  You can feel it more than you can see it really.  Just wanted to mention it because it was something that I was a little disappointed in with this expensive Warmoth neck. I have a 1971 quarter I'll throw in with it so you can put it under the tremolo if you want. No reflectors though LOL. The guitar is setup really well with incredible action.  The action is very very low, but with no fret buzz or fret outs.  The tremolo is set up to float.  The string length intonation is spot on as well, so chords play in tune in any position on the neck.  Zero issues with the electronics (as described above).  The neck is straight, not bowed or twisted or any nonsense like that.  The nut has been shimmed for correct height, and the neck pocket was shimmed with a guitar pick to give the tremolo a little bit of height so that the tremolo can float at just the right height to pull back slightly, or to be able to slip a quarter under at the height of the thickness of a quarter so that the bridge sits perfectly flat when "blocked" with the quarter. The cut pickguard is intentionally ugly and the edges have been "smoothed" with a soldering iron to get rid of the sharp edges. This is not really meant to be a "perfect copy" of Ed's guitar.  Its more of a "tribute".  I wanted it to be something that had the look from 25 feet away, but with more of the functionality that I wanted, but also with the option for someone else to make it more like Ed's guitar if they wanted to.  I wanted to keep this guitar, but I just bought a saxophone and I need to sell something to justify that purchase. I'm starting here with the price because this is right at what the parts cost me.  So, even if you were just buying this as a "parts donor", you would be break even.  But, my labor in assembling it and setting it up to play right...  consider it a donation at this price LOL.  But I really hope whoever buys this doesn't raid the parts, but plays it and hangs it in their man cave. I'm open to offers and even possibly trades (particularly on saxophones), but please keep the offers fair and reasonable. Any other questions about the guitar, please just send me a message and I'll be glad to send any additional pics you'd like to see or answer any other questions about the guitar.   It is INCREDIBLY fun to play. Buy with confidence from a reputable seller with a 30-day money back return policy. I will include a nicely padded gig bag and the guitar will be packed bullet proof for safe delivery to you. International Buyers are welcome. Thanks for looking!
