This is a RARE new old stock 1964/65 Violin Bass guitar this is a semi without F Holes
It was assembled by ex EKP Luthier Roberto Brandoni (Roberto workd for EKO for over 30 years at their factory in Italy as a Skilled Luthier, So no one knows more about Eko Guitars than him. He is a very well respected man in Italian Guitar Circles)
The body and neck are original Italian made

Original 1960's Control Knobs
Reproduction Pickguard

New old stock bridge
The only parts that are modern are the TunersLaminated Birds Eye maple back and sides
Spruce top
3 piece maple neck with carved headstockRoberto Brandoni worked as a luthier with EKO in italy until its closure in 1980/81
The factory closed and Roberto bough the Entire stock of Necks and bodies etc
He moved to the UK and Formed Brandoni Music, Originally offering spares for sale to the trade and public
The he went back to making guitars from Genuine 1960's-1980's partsYou will no doubt have seen that EKO have started up again and are now making new reproductions of some of the 1960's models including a Violin bass (BUT NOT THIS MODEL) the one they make in china is with F HOLES
this is probably one of the rarest of the eko bass guitars
It is arch Top and arch back the body is as the name would suggest is Violin shaped
The full scale neck is glorious to play with its beautiful Ebony fingerboard,
Whilst this guitar was assembled in about 2000 it was made with parts from 1964/65 so it is a genuine vintage and rare guitar. There are some like this on ebay for £700-£1200 and not in as amazing condition as this beautiful guitar. I normally do not have anything to do with bass guitars but was just too beautiful an instrument that it had to enter my large private collection. However as you can see the time has come to thin the heard.
