Here's a remarkable and extremely rare left-handed 1980's Fender Japan custom 62 reissue double cream bound telecaster upgraded with matching Lollar Special T pickups, custom control plate with cloth wiring throughout, CTS pots, and a 3 way Gibson style Switchcraft toggle switch. The beautiful Ash body with vintage specs is naturally aged in thin sunburst lacquer. The custom P90 and Gibson toggle route were professionally routed by a pro luthier and are super clean. The brown tortoise 3 ply pickguard is custom ordered from the UK and the guitar features aged hardware throughout. For easier play, the guitar features an electro socket output jack, and the original Fender A serial aged ashtray bridge with Glendale compensated brass saddles. It also features vintage correct recessed string ferrules, and naturally relic'd strap buttons. The neck has a 60's medium C profile with dark rosewood fret board and truss rod adjustment at heel with Kluson tuners. It weighs a light 7.6 pounds and ships in a hard shell case. You can buy this guitar for a fraction of the Custom Shop equivalent which sells for $4500 new. These vintage 1980's MIJ Custom Telecasters rival their American counterparts in every way!
This is hands down the best playing telecaster I've ever owned and it plays better than my $4500 Fender Custom Shop. This guitar was made at a time when there was no Custom Shop, and Fender Japan was brought in to save and rescue the Fender name. The American Fender executives cried when they saw how incredible the quality was! This guitar is also naturally aged in every way and it feels wonderful, and is an authentic vintage instrument. In 1985, all of Fender's guitars were made in Japan.I paid $1595 for this guitar, and it has over $600 in upgrades between the Lollar pickups, pro wiring, pro routing, and pro set up. Price is firm (do not contact me with requests for offers or trades). This guitar will be securely packed for Fedex Ground home delivery domestic shipping coast to coast and express international shipping worldwide with delivery confirmation. Most sellers charge between $60 - $80 to ship guitars within the USA, and $195 - $395 or more to ship guitars internationally. I'm currently offering free USA and free worldwide shipping on all of my guitars. Buy it now today!
