This guitar employs René's own bracing design derived from traditional fan bracing using wood and carbon fiber sparingly. The bottom is thin and braced, the sides are laminated using two layers (like Daniel Friederich). The result is a guitar that is very loud, and very well balanced while maintaining very complex overtones. The only reason I'm selling is to pay for some other guitars that I recently purchased.I contacted René to inquire about a new Mordancy with Brazilian back and sides and the price I was quoted was $12,500. This guitar has the advantage of having been broken in while still being in very close to "like new" condition. I will hate to see this one go.
