Thank you for taking the time to visit Blues Angel Music's eBay store! Blues Angel Music, est. in 1997 in Pensacola, Florida, has been named by NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) as one of the "TOP 100" music stores in the USA since 2011!!! Your satisfaction is our #1 objective! 1930's-1940's Vintage Gibson L-Series Hollow Body Archtop w/ DeArmond Pickup & Chipboard Case! #37201Today, we're very pleased to offer this Vintage Gibson Archtop! It shows noticeable cosmetic wear one would expect with a vintage instrument, yet is in overall Excellent Condition for its age, and 100% Fully Functional Condition! See below for a more detailed breakdown of condition. To the best of our knowledge, this is an L-Series Archtop, circa mid-30's to mid-40's. We believe this to be an L-50, L-48 or similar model, although it is difficult to determine since it's not marked in any way that we've been able to discover, either inside or out, apart from the 30's style gold-decal Gibson Logo on the Peghead. There is no serial number, model number stamp, or any other markings that are visible. Potential buyers must satisfy themselves as to this being the guitar they want prior to purchase, using the pictures and descriptions we've provided here. This is a wonderful representation of a 1930's era Gibson Archtop! The guitar you see is the one you will receive! We invite you to view its pictures carefully and to contact us with any questions you may have.BODYThe body shows several noticeable, but normal scratches, dings, pick swirl, buckle rash and finish crackle. Very aesthetically pleasing with its cool, vintage vibe and TONS of mojo! Very structurally sound! Tortoise shell floating Pickguard and surrounding wood has moderate to heavy pick swirl. Sunburst finish over what appears to be a spruce top with Maple Back & Sides.NECKNeck in very good shape! Frets show moderate to heavy fret wear, with grooves visible under the strings, particularly the 1st through 5th frets. Light indentations and finish chips can be felt and seen on back of neck and normal finish crackle can be found on headstock. There is a bit of "fingerboard sink" present on the Rosewood fingerboard at the 1st through 3rd frets. There are 19 Frets in total, with 14 clear of the body.ELECTRONICSAn after-production DeArmond pickup has been installed on the body, and the cable has been fed through the lower f-hole, with the input jack zip-tied to the trapeze tailpiece. Volume and Tone knobs have been installed near the lower f-hole, and everything works great!HARDWAREThe trapeze tailpiece appears to be original and is in Excellent shape, while the tuners are also in excellent condition, but appear to have been replaced. There is oxidation on the pickguard bracket and screw heads.DIMENSIONS/WEIGHTLower Bout Width: 16"Depth: 3-1/4"Scale length: 24-3/4"Nut width: 1-11/16"Weight: 4.85 lbs.CASEThe non-original chipboard case is not branded, is most likely from the 70's, and is in Very Good to Excellent Condition with all latches and hinges intact.ADDITIONAL PHOTOS

International Buyers – Please Note:We normally utilize USPS or FEDEX as our international shippers. USPS is usually cheaper than FEDEX or UPS. However, USPS will not ship large boxes to some countries. Also USPS has insurance limits of $500 - $600 to a number of countries. Some countries have no insurance limits, and to some countries USPS will not insure at all.As you can see, international shipping rates and options can get very confusing. Because of this, we set our shipping calculator on our listings for UPS Saver International rates. We can almost always ship for less than that amount, and when you buy an item from us we will invoice you for the least expensive shipping option that provides full insurance coverage. If you accept a shipping option that will not insure the merchandise for the full value of the item, in the event of damage or a loss you will only be reimbursed for the amount of the insurance coverage. You will be required to state by email through the Ebay communications system that you accept this potential for financial loss. We pride ourselves in packaging VERY thoroughly, but when shipping merchandise, damage and loss are always a possibility. - Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.- Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.- These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.- We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.- We do not accept returns from international buyers
