When I found this it looked bad. I cleaned it without disassembly, using Q-tips, cotton balls and a polish rag, because it played so well. The body of this Sax is in very good shape. Some light dents on the bow. The pads are in good shape. Maybe only half used. It has new cork on the neck. This Sax plays well right out of the case, and now it looks great too. Buescher True Tones were the Pro Sax of the Day in the 1920's and 30's. They still have a great tone to them, they just don't have all the alternate keys that professional use today. Most Hobbiest don't know how to use them. This one has been well maintained. I don't know if Buescher sold Saxophones without lacquer or not. This one is unlacquered. That's how I bought it.  After cleaning I use Renaissance Wax on it. It will help keep it from tarnishing. The UK uses Renaissance Wax in their Museums to preserve their metal items. Just apply it with cotton polishing gloves, every so often. I will include a Selmer C* mouthpiece that plays good and an antique neck strap and music lair. You may have your own favorite mouthpiece. This sax is READY TO PLAY right out of the case.
