Gorgeous Vintage 1948 Slingerland WMP Solid 1-Ply Maple Shell Radio King Snare

Open to International Bidders!! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1948 Slingerland model # 111 " Krupa Model Radio King " snare drum. This drum has a Slingerland oval brass badge with no serial number. This special badge was only issued between 1948 to 1950.This drum has a one-ply, all maple shell that measures 7" deep x 14" wide. The interior is finished in gorgeous, honey-colored maple, while the exterior is factory wrapped in Slingerland white marine pearl. The pearloid finish is tightly adhered to the shell, and it has a gorgous, high gloss shine to it. There are no extra holes, and this drum is free from modifications.The solid maple, one-ply shell is tight and perfectly in round, and the interior glue-rings are not delaminated or split in any way.This drum looks amazing and it really sounds great!! The shell is perfectly in round, and it will easily accept modern REMO and EVANS drum heads. A genuine calf skin Vintage Drum head has been installed on the top of this drum.This drum is factory equipped with 16 Slingerland "Radio King" snare lugs, two original Slingerland solid-brass " stick-chopper " hoops, 16 Slingerland tension rods, A Slingerland 3-point strainer and matching butt plate, two extended snare gates, and a Slingerland twin pad internal muffler assembly. All of the parts are nickel plated, and as you can see from my pictures, all of the nickel hardware is brightly polished, and every piece is in fantastic condition. The top batter hoop has the words; "Slingerland Radio King" stamped into the metal.The original free floating Slingerland strap-on wires are intact, and they are held in place with factory aluminum straps.
