1995 Breedlove C5RUnsold New-Old Custom-Order StockThe Backstory:Our small shop, located in Salt Lake City was one of the first Breedlove dealers in the region in the 1990s. We ended up shipping Breedlove guitars all around the country until the early 2000s saw drastic changes up in Oregon with Breedlove and we stopped carrying them. In the last two years, several of these New-Old-Stock Breedloves have been found in one of our rarely used stockrooms, along with several used ones that were traded back in over the years. Many have been sold but this is one that we finally got around to checking out, cleaning off, setting up, and listing for you all. This Particular Guitar:Beautiful inside and out with THREE imperfections. As stated, this is a New-Old-Stock guitar, but unlike most of our other ones, this did not escape 15+ years of storage unscathed because it wasn't stored in the climate controlled area that our others were. There are two cracks that run from the base of the bridge to the edge of the guitar that have been addressed and repaired professionally right here in our shop- see close-up pictures as they aren't visible due to running parallel with the grain. Also, there is one small area of finish checking up by the bass-side cutaway. This C5R is an incredibly engineered concert sized guitar that has been deepened to enhance richness and projection. Included is the original hardshell case, and lock key- there is a small amount of oxidation on some of the latches as well as dust on the tolex. Nut width is 1-11/16". Sleek off-center dot inlay pattern on Ebony fretboard. Beautiful striped rosewood back and sides with decorative. Delicate and balanced sitka spruce top. Highly coveted Grover gold-plated mini-rotomatic tuners. Classic multi-ply cream pearloid binding really adds contrast to her as well as a highly decorative rosette to complete the package. This is a truly stunning incarnation of one of Breedlove's most successful guitar lines, the C-Series. This guitar was made during the legendary Steve Henderson era and is signed by the man as well as bearing the Tumalo, Oregon factory sticker. This guitar has never been owed and sat in storage since it was taken off display in the early-2000s. When going over the condition of the guitar and addressing the cracks, we took care to make sure the guitar was set-up property through and through. Flat shipping cost is charged to ensure the guitar can be insured to protect its value in transit.
