Description
Brand: Selmer

Rare Selmer Radio Imroved Tenor Sax#19xxx from 1934This horn has been relacquered. At some point it had Conn 10m style engraving done on the left side of the bell. These are actual Conn engravings and you can see the Lady on the Bell in photo #5. I can't explain this but find it very interesting. The pads are old as you can see but the horn has been gone over and the pads are seating top to bottom as you can hear in the video. Of course its going to play a lot better on a new set but it is amazing how well it plays on these old rivet pads.Mechanically and physically the horn is in great shape with age appropriate wear as shown. The side F# key guard is a good replacement. The neck is in very good shape free of pull down or egging. The case is a grey zippered Selmer from the Mark VI era in good condition and no musty odors. The Radio Improved in a classic Selmer produced in smaller quantities than most of their models so this is a great chance to acquire one.
