As the second model in AEA’s Nuvo Series, the N8 combines the modern advantages of phantom powered electronics, with a classic ribbon sound. In fact the aluminum ribbon in the N8 is identical to the flagship R44 model in its dimensions and tuning, delivering a wide open sound and strong low-end. This makes it ideal for distant mic’ing; sounds don’t get thin, no matter where you are in the room. The N8 can also work well in close mic situations, where the proximity effect can be used to one’s advantage for a heavy bottom. The modern design allows for high SPL’s, so don’t be afraid to put this in front of a loud guitar amp. The phantom-powered output makes this mic extremely adaptable with any preamp/interface.
