Vintage 1981 Mesa Boogie Mark IIBI'm selling a super clean, vintage 1981 Mesa Boogie Mark IIB. I just picked this amp up a few weeks ago and it's just way too much for my needs. It's kind of like hunting squirrels with a Sherman tank. The serial number is 6412. This is the 60 watt version with reverb, graphic EQ and EVM speaker. It's in very good condition and has been well maintained. The blonde tolex is in great condition. No funky smells, etc. The amp was sent back to Mesa Boogie in 2014 to get a tune up, new power supply caps, sockets retensioned, etc. It also has had the "loop mod" performed while it was in for service. This is a super powerful, compact, professional quality instrument that is incredibly versatile. Sounds good at low volume and wound up. Has a big, fat, round tone. It's like a fatter, smoother sounding Twin Reverb. Overdrive is rich, vocal and lush. Does the "Santana" tone perfectly. No footswitch is included.
