Roland SRE-555 space echo. This is the largest member of the Roland space echo family and was intended for stereo use. It is basically the same as the 501 but in a different case. It is yet another restoration project that i need to let go since i am not playing much guitar anymore and closed down my recording studio. Everything works but it seems that the tape does not transport correctly so there is wow and flutter on the repeats. It could also be that the heads need to be de-magnetized. I have fully recapped the whole machine (electrolytics and tantals) and also changed most parts that wear out, see the list below! I dont have skills enough to set up the heads and tape path so thats why its up for sale. Overall condition is good.

Here is a rundown of the pros and cons: -Fully recapped (lytics and tantals) -All voltages seems to be correct -All switches are cleaned. -New pinchroller -New roller bearings -New felts all around -New tape -New reverb can. -Heads look good -Chorus and reverb are working and sounds good. -Tape does not seem to run smooth resulting in wow and flutter -Tray is missing The echo is sold as-is so please ask any questions before you go ahead and buy it.
