I have for sale an incredible, full-size 4/4 violin. It is a Karl Herrmann, made in Markneukirchen, Germany, 1963. It is in wonderful condition, structurally and cosmetically. Just one scuff on the face on the lower right bass bout and some minor scuffs, not through the varnish, on the back. The highly-figured tiger maple on this violin is deep, gorgeous and rich, as is the color of this instrument. And, wait until you hear it...nice projection, long sustain. This violin also has the Sherl & Roth label, 1963 and meets MENC standards...It is outfitted in all ebony except the chin rest, which is composition. It has a new set of Perlon strings (very similar to Thomastik Dominant). It also has a new, hand-fitted German Teller 3-star bridge, and vintage German post-style fine tuners. Everything works smoothly. The violin comes with a vintage Glasser bow in excellent condition, and a Sherl & Roth case. The case has two chunks out of it, but will protect the violin well. Both latches work. Also included in a new cake of Austrian rosin and a mute. This is really an incredibly nice violin package that will take a student right through intermediate playing. Please do write if you have any questions.
Thank you!Antonio Stradivari,Bartolomeo Giuseppe Gaspari, Carlo Bergonzi, Nicola Amati, Andrea Amati, Karl Hofner, Marcus Klimke,Jan-Hendrik van Rooyen, Stentor, Yamaha, fitzby, Jacobus Stainer, Suzuki, Lignatone, Knilling, Pfretzschner, fitzby, stradivarius, hopf, glaesel, glasser, palatino, balaton, dolling, aubert, trettor, gerhardt, beder
