Gefell’s M990 is a large-diaphragm tube condenser mic with a fixed cardioid pattern. It is characterized by high sensitivity (28 mV/Pa) and high signal to noise ratio. The tube is an EF 86 pentode, wired as a triode. The large-diaphragm capsule is Gefell’s model M9; it uses hand-tensioned 6-micron Mylar diaphragms. The capsule is mounted on a triangular pedestal designed to reduce standing-wave coloration within the headbasket. Microphone is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Comes with all accessories as pictured.
