Epiphone Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom    If you want the classic sound of the earliest Les Paul guitar, you want the Inspired by 1955 Custom.  Many folks forget that the first Les Paul guitars did not have humbucker pickups, they had P-90s.  P-90 pickups are known for their ability to cut through any type of music, all while displaying amazing tonal sensitivity for everything from blues and rock to mellow jazz riffs. Here is what Epiphone says about the Inspired by "1955" Custom: Epiphone’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul dates back to the 1940s when Les, working after-hours at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan, created one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars which he nicknamed “The Log”. It wasn’t long before “The Log” evolved into the legendary Les Paul. Throughout his life, Les continued to work closely with Epiphone reviewing new products and offering suggestions. “They are damn fine instruments, I swear by them!” said Les. The Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom™ is an historic reissue of the “tuxedo” Les Paul that Les designed to be the most beautiful electric guitar ever made with a striking Ebony finish with gold hardware that would not only look great with a “tux” but would also convince skeptics that the new—and controversial--“solid body” electric guitar was a refined and classy instrument. What was refurbished on this guitar
This Les Paul came in with no pickups.  Artec ASA90 pickups were installed.  They have the same Alnico V bar magnet and vintage style braided wiring as the original Gibson pickups have.  The truss rod cover was cracked due to an over tightened screw, and was replaced with a plain cover. This guitar weighs 8.2 pounds. **The pictures are of the actual guitar that you will receive** Here is how much cash you will save!

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty. Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping. What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.FOR A LOT MORE INFORMATION WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW!
