This sax has been carefully inspected and serviced as needed to ensure that it is in excellent playing condition for its next owner. All the pads were checked to ensure that they were in good condition and sealing properly with a light touch. Only one pad needed replacement, and some minor adjustments were made, but that is about all it needed. This horn plays easily from top to bottom as you can hear in the video demonstration above of this actual instrument.This sax is in overall very good physical condition. The body is nice and straight and the neck has not been pulled down. There is a dent/flat spot on the bottom of the bow (The "U" bend at the bottom of the sax), and a handful of minor pings and dings as is common on most student model saxophones (especially the larger ones such as tenor). The lacquer is mostly intact with some wear on the back of the body near the thumb hook as can be seen in the pictures. It does show light to moderate scratching, but no more so than the average student owned instrument, and overall it looks very good. The scratching is mostly on the side of the bell where it would tend to contact either the player's body or chair. The nickel plated key-work is still nice and shiny. This instrument is very clean.This horn comes in its original case. The case is in excellent condition with very little interior wear, and just a few minor exterior scuffs. The inside is clean and odor free. It is plenty solid and protects the horn properly.
This auction includes the following accessories: mouthpiece,ligature, mouthpiece cap, and neck strap. The mouthpiece is in good condition. It is the original Yamaha 4C, which is an excellent quality mouthpiece for beginners.
