It's a Warwick Corvette Standard 4 string bass ,the first prototype of Corvette bubinga body wood line .This bass is similar to the Warwick Thumb bass of the same year and has a little difference : neck pickup position and bigger body than the Thumb bass . More versatile than the thumb , this Corvette bass is more of a Jazz bass.
The body is crafted from beautiful African Bubinga wood which gives the instrument a deep sound to it. Neck and fretboard are one piece crafted from Wenge wood . Headstock top is Ebony wood and looks awesome .I love the feel of the neck . The space between strings is nice , my hands are medium sized. They say the bubinga basses weight a lot but this one is not that heavy you would expect , which is a good thing for your neck and for long gigs .
Big sounds can be reached with the MEC Jazz pickups that are passive and original of this bass .
It resonates so well and the harmonics are great and sound very clear .
