This Ebay offering is for a vintage 1962 Brownface Bassman Head by the FENDER ELECTRIC INSTRUMENT COMPANY of Fullerton, CA.  The original Fender tag inside the cabinet is stamped "LG" which is a July 1962 original assembly date. This amp is built to the 6G6-A schematic.  It has two channels: One is labeled BASS and the other NORMAL (which has the PRESENCE feature).   Please inspect all the pictures for condition.I received this amp about 15 years ago because it needed service. The output transformer was kaput so I researched and purchased the best viable replacement which is rated at 50 watts and expects a 4 Ohm speaker for optimum performance. Nice clean swap made on the OT. The rectifier circuit was rebuilt with new components and a capacitor job was completed.  A couple resistors needed replacement.  Has an older 3-prong cord installed. Fresh vintage glass topped off the rebuild.   I've had two amp tech friends critique the condition and they said "THIS AMP IS AWSOME" and "It will perform for another 50 years".When this amp head came to me, someone had removed the original blond tolex and installed black tolex with the wrong grill cloth. Recently, I tired of looking at the ugly condition of the cabinet. Now recovered in blond tolex with Oxblood Grill Cloth installed. I found an original flat Fender logo plate and installed it.  I put a Fender replacement DOGBONE HANDLE in the original holes. New Knobs. Original cab corners were reinstalled along with white rubber glides. The original back plate was missing so I went to my buddies wood shop and fabricated a new replacement panel based on a Showman panel that I had on hand (Added the tapered edges around the oval, correct for the period). The flat clips to connect with Fender Bottom are missing. This item can not be sent to a Post Office Box or an APO address. This is a firm condition of sale.
