Limited to an incredibly small 60-piece run, this stunning limited edition instrument was designed in celebration of Chairman/CEO Chris Martin IV's 60th birthday and in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the legendary D-35. From its beautiful, powerful acoustic voice down to its elegant premium adornments, this HD-35 CFM IV 60th model is truly exceptional.The Martin Limited Edition HD-35 CFM IV starts out with a solid European spruce top that's been aged with Martin's exclusive Vintage Tone System to provide that warm, broken-in sound that you'd normally only hear from a vintage acoustic. Paired with standard X scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing and solid siris back sides featuring a gorgeous East Indian rosewood back wedge, the HD-35 CFM IV produces a rich, full-bodied tone with a crisp, clear top-end and midrange. Not only does this tonewood selection impart a gorgeous acoustic sound, but it also lends to the truly exquisite looks of this dreadnought. Aside from just aesthetics and tone, the HD-35 CFM IV plays beautifully, too, thanks to its comfortably carved 25.4 -scale solid genuine mahogany neck. Sporting a comfortable modified low oval profile and Martin's ergonomic Performing Artist taper, the neck carries an ebony fingerboard with 20 frets and 1-3/4 bone nut.An array of unique, breathtaking appointments are what really set this remarkable limited edition apart from the rest. The top is trimmed with an elegant herringbone pearl inlay and grained ivoroid binding while also showcasing a Style 45 abalone rosette and a tortoise color pickguard. Striking Infinity Hexagon Outline abalone inlays grace the fingerboard and bridge while the '50s-style headstock bears an ebony headplate with a shimmering abalone CFM logo and CFM IV's Birth Date in mother of pearl.
