This auction is for a Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone neck, manufactured, I believe, in the 1960's. Please look at the pictures closely -- you won't see any damage, no wear or tear, no deep dents or scratches, however, you will see that this neck is in near new condition. Some background is in order. When Selmer was manufacturing the Mark VI alto saxophone, some professionals noticed that different necks had different tones. Why? Partly because there are very slight differences in manufacturing due to slight variations in the brass, construction, even the fit of the neck to the body tube. At this point many professional saxophonists began ordering multiple necks from Selmer to find which gave the best combination of tone and intonation. This is one such neck. Originally owned by a professional saxophonist, then put carefully away. This neck has no pull-down damage, no dents, no serial number. It has it's original lacquer that has developed that beautiful golden patina. The pictures show this neck is in like new condition.
I have cleaned, and lubricated this neck, and it is ready to put on your Mark VI and play! Unlike other 'Museum Quality' necks, this is genuine top shelf, expensive - yes it is, and worth every penny!
OK, for the legal stuff: The photographs shown are of the actual item being sold. Winning bid to make payment in full (with Paypal only) within 3 days of the close of auction. Please note that all sales are final and no returns will be accepted (look at it this way, if I wanted it back, would I sell it at all?). International customers will be responsible for any import taxes, duties or costs. All international customers will be billed the actual cost of shipping, with insurance. All orders will be shipped by USPS where possible. Please ask any questions as soon as possible to give me an opportunity to respond. Oh, don't ask me to misrepresent the value for duty or tax purposes - I won't.
