Epiphone Kent ca. 1949 The Kent was an acoustic electric archtop made by Epiphone starting in 1949 and discontinued in 1954. This 1949 specimen is a pre-Gibson, New York made Epiphone Kent archtop. Electronics are in good working order, and the tone spectrum pick up provides an great and unique tone. This guitar is perfect for blues, jump swing, hot jazz or just about any other type of roots music. With original pickguard and Bikini logo. The guitar is very clean for it's age and displays some expected signs of use. Features a 15 3/8" laminated mahogany body with single bindings, arched maple top with sunburst finish, mahogany neck, 3-on-a-plate tuners with plastic buttons, trapeze tailpiece, rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and rosewood compensated bridge.
