This Banjo Uke is believed to be an Oscar Schmidt early 1920s. There are no brand markings as the paint on the back of the instrument has rubbed off. Signs of regular wear consistent with age. Very good build quality; the neck, fret board, head stock, and wood frame construction are all in very good condition with no splitting, loose seams, or warping. The metal frame on the back of the head has most of the paint worn off but is in solid condition. Does not include strings. Measures 22" in total length and 7 1/2" across the head. Includes the original vintage soft case in fair condition, there is a tear near the top and the string to lace the opening is detached.
is famous for his work with Favilla Bros to create the Wimbrola line of Ukes and other string instruments of sorts. He was also a Songwriter, Writer & Poet (“The Guy In The Glass”), Newspaper Owner (The Indian River News), Musician, and Radio Personality!
