Up for sale is a Revive Audio Modified JBL 5306, Discrete, Six channel mixer that sounds beautiful and is ready for tracking!These cool mixers are transformer coupled on the inputs and the master output for great analog mojo and warmth!These are an all discrete transistor based mixer for loads of headroom and character.
operating at 44v, the headroom is massive on these and with the transformer coupling at the inputs and direct outputs they are a perfect tracking machine.
48v's has been added for two stereo banks as well for condenser mic use.
The direct outputs on these are perfect for drums with about 40 db worth of gain and are also suitable for electric instruments and rock vocals as well.
When passed to the master the channels deliver about 80 db worth of gain and offer a wonderfully sounding dual channel high and low shelf filter that sounds incredible making it a great single instrument channel or mono summed mixed.
They sound very large with good dynamic range and bandwidth.So the modifications:
This unit has been modified with 1/4 direct outputs for tracking Drums and other sources making it a great solution for additional preamps and for that classic Analog sound for various styles of music.
The direct output can be used with balanced or un-balanced connections and is Post fader allowing for fader trimming to your daw to prevent overloads
When a jack is inserted to the Direct output the signal is de-coupled from the master section (disconnected)
We also modified the power supply for lower noise, better headroom and longevity making this Six Channel mixer ready to Rock!
