Vintage 1968 Black Diamond Pearl Downbeat Kit The finish is in Very Good condition and the chrome is in good condition there are some internal scratches in the white paint of the inside of the bass drum The worst flaw that we could find is what appears to be a cigarette burn on the top of the bass drum. The photo actually looks worse than in person. In fact the person that we purchased the kit from, who was the original owner, did not even know it was there. Date on kick is May 31st 1968 The original owner stated that these drums were purchased together all at the same time All of the chrome has some pitting of verying degree as seen above. This being about the worst case. The date on 12" appears to be May 28 1968 The bass drum is painted white internally. Both the mounted tom and floor tom are not painted. All parts seem to be original with the exception of the new heads. The date on the 14" Floor tom is June 6 1968 All in all this is a really nice kit in good to very good shape. 1968 appears to be the first year that Ludwig stopped using the baseball bat tone controls, so both toms have the dial type tone control on them. Bass drum W/Mount 14" X 20", Tom 8"X12", Floor Tom W/Legs 14"X14". To our knowledge there are no other LARGE flaws and we have tried to give as accurate of a discription as we possibleStarting Bid $750.00 Please note; We are not interested in a trade for this item. A restocking fee will apply if the item is not returned in original and new condition with all manufacturer packaging and contents intact. Drum World will refund the purchase price less all shipping charges. We usually sell items/kits at a set shipping cost. If the kit is returned, you will recieve the full amount less the exact cost that Drum World gets charged for shipping. (example, we charge $49.95 or FREE , but UPS charges us $75.20 for shipping. You would get refunded the total amount less the $75.20 charged to us) All return postage is your responsibility. The item/kit must be returned in the original packaging and there must be no stick marks on the heads. Drum World must be contacted before any equipment can be returned. If the merchandise is returned without an RA#, it will be refused. Exceptions to our Return Policy Any used gear (items with signs of wear and tear), Electronic/acoustic drum sets, and any percussion instruments with scuffs/markings from being struck are non-returnable.
