Its AA flame maple top shows excellent figuring throughout and looks especially great under its Desert Burst finish. Its gold hardware adds a bit of regal flair while acting as a great complement to the warm overall color palette. The 490R is warm, big, and full-bodied with pretty solid articulation for a neck pickup. The 498T in the bridge is quite a bit hotter and brighter with great attack that takes well to distortion and overdrive. Plus, overall this guitar is in great shape for being over 10 years old and comes with its original case, as well as a pro setup. Condition: This Les Paul is in very good condition overall. It shows only minor dings and dents here and there, as well as one larger on near the jack, and various light scratches throughout, but is still in great shape for a guitar that’s over 10 years old. The frets are only lightly worn and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should. Body: Single cutaway mahogany body with a carved flame AA maple top in Desert Burst. Gold Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Black speed knobs. Gold hardware.
Neck: Medium depth ’59 Rounded mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Vintage-style gold deluxe tuning machines with opaque keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale length. Electronics: 490R gold humbucker in the neck and 498T gold humbucker in the bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector. Weight: 8 lbs 14.6 ozPlayability/Sound: The neck plays as easy as any and should be a comfortable and familiar feel to a wide variety of players. The 490R is warm and full-bodied while the 498T is a bit hotter with more crispness and bite. Case: Includes original hardshell case.
