Description Product Description This very lovely full size violin for sale was made by the Edgar Russ factory in Cremona, ITALY. It was just made in 2013 and is brand new. This Russ violin is an excellent deal for someone searching for a sweet Italian violin at a lower price. This violin is the most inexpensive that Russ workshop produces, but it is still very fine in terms of sound and beauty of the instrument. The violin has a lovely oil varnish applied to nicely aged and carved wood. The tone is sweet, rich, and full beyond most non-Italian instruments. This Russ will be a delightful violin for an advanced high school/ college student. Edgar E. Russ was born in Austria in 1966. In 1984 he moved to Italy to attend the "Antonio Stradivari" Violinmaking school of Cremona. In 1990 he opened his first workshop in Cremona Italy his instruments are played by many of the world's best known musicians, professors and teachers. He is well known for his set up and sound adjustments. Edgar is the co-author of a book in German language titled "Die Violin Instrument, Geschichte, Bau"
