For sale is my 1956 Fender Princeton tweed amp. The serial number is P01080. The amp has its original power transformer and the original output transformer. The original 8EV-29 speaker’s date code is 465 642 which indicates a manufacture date the 42nd week on 1956. The pots codes are 304 641 which indicates 41st week of 1956. The tube chart is stamped FK which indicates a manufacture date of November 1956. All of the electronics are original and the amp produces a great warm sound. The tweed and grill are in excellent condition for an amp that is 60 years old. This is one of the cleanest Princeton tweeds I have ever owned or seen. This amp has been in my collection for over 10 years and has always been played thru a Variac. Please examine the many detailed photographs below this description. The control panel chrome is in very good condition and all the lettering is great. The handle is the original but I believe the two prong lamp type power cord is not original to the amp. As far as I can tell everything else on this amp is original and working properly. As with any piece of electronic equipment that is 60 years old, the possibility that the amp could require servicing at any time is always a consideration. It is being sold as is with no return, no warranty and no full or partial refund. I have included many detailed pictures below this description, so please examine them.
