Ive been arguing with myself for months about this but finally decided to sell this beast of a guitar to help fund a les paul..plus I promised my daughter a new ibanez she has fallen in love with for Christmas.
Its a ltd edition 1995 sg special. Ebony board. Took me years to find one but I'm a les paul guy and this doesn't get played much.
Comes with upgraded 57 classic plus in the bridge..original pick up also included.
Has hairline cracks in the neck, i bought it with them and they havent got any worse in the couple of years ive had it.
Experts have confirmed it's only lacquer cracking..
I posted on the Sg owners group and I've been informed that I should get between 500 and 600 even with the cracks.
A couple of guitar techs I've met online have confirmed what a local Luthier told me, that it's very unlikely to be the wood cracking as wood doesn't crack in a straight line. No repair is advised as you would need to break the neck to repair it.
I was advised to just t cut the cracks out.
I'm only going on advice as I'm only an idiot when it comes to this stuff..but there is absolutely no movement when pressed and tuning is fine.
Apart from the faults on the neck the rest of the guitar is almost perfect. All electrics work as they should.
Also included is a dimarzio strap lock and strap
and a kinsman case. The 57 pick up, strap and case cost me over £100 and obviously I can put it back to stock and adjust the price accordingly.
Any interest/offers ..hit me up!
