One owner.  Non-gloss finish.  Colorado purchase.  Currently in Nebraska.I bought this Kawai new in 2005 as I was completing my Masters Degree in Piano Performance. The original listing price was over $20,000.00.  Unless you can afford a high end brand (Steinway, Boesendorfer, Fazioli, etc.), you will find that two brand names are head and shoulders above the rest.  They are Yamaha and Kawai.  Yahama is known for a bright sound that sings beautifully in the treble range, but this brilliance comes at a cost.  Yamaha bass notes generally sound tubby and lack resonance.  On the other hand, a Kawai offers a balanced, flexible sound, capable of brilliance in the upper register (although not quite as much as Yamaha) without sacrificing the bass range.  The result is a warm, powerful tone similar to a smaller Steinway, but with the clarity of a Yamaha.  This Kawai RX-2 has an even warmer tone than other RX-2s I have played.  I fell in love with it the first time I played it and ended up stretching my budget limit to acquire it.  Unfortunately, a different set of budget needs now compels me to sell it.  I will miss this piano forever and hope it goes to another discerning musician with a love of color and  tone.Sale includes standard bench, and the quilted cover with Kawai logo.  (The cover is the high quality, thicker cloth kind)
