~ Olds Super Star Ultra Sonic Trumpet ~ Beautiful Silver Finish 1973 Vintage Pro Horn - Very Nice Used Condition FANTASTIC Player w/ Fast Smooth Valves Olds Hardshell Case + Mouthpiece Included - Will Ship Worldwide Make An Offer Here's beautiful original silver 1973 vintage F.E. OLDS SUPER STAR ULTRA SONIC Pro Trumpet in very nice used condition. The shiny original silver plating is at least 95+% intact, and has a mirror shine. There are some fine surface scratches and a little plating wear on the horn just from normal use and age. The horn is very bright and presentable overall and has just been hand polished. This Olds Super Star has the Ultra Sonic bell design and is a wonderful example of the quality horns built by Olds many decades ago. This one is an excellent player and has quick smooth valves and slides. There is an adjustable 1st slide saddle, adjustable 3rd slide ring, "hexagonal" finger buttons and caps and traditional style water keys. Valve are fast, smooth and reliable. All three valves are interchangeable due to the innovative "Straight -thru" design. Serial # is 867XXX indicating this one was built in 1973. This one has been well cared for and is in great mechancial condition as well, with all slides free and smooth. This is a used horn, so there's some little dents and small dings in the horn from normal wear, nothing major though. This is an original Olds Super Star Ultra Sonic. The bell of this trumpet is engraved with "OLDS SUPER STAR FULLERTON, CALIF." and the receiver is engraved with "ULTRA SONIC" This Olds Super Star is all ready to play, and is a really superb player. It has a very easy blow and has a nice dense core to the tone. This is a very solid and well built horn with excellent F.E. Olds craftsmanship. Please take a look at the photos and enlarge them.
