Here we have on offer is a genuine vintage late 1950s British made EMI valve mic pre moduleThis has had a few mods done to turn it into a stereo 2 chan unit.
2 x EF86 mic pre input stages
2 x ECC88 output stagesThese are possibly the finest valve tube mic pre currently available to buy. Same valve line up as used in the legendary EMI REDD mixing consoles at Abbey Road. Famous for "That" classic Beatles soundThis has been completely rebuilt and serviced with the highest grade components to ensure the best sound, lowest noise and reliability.Fitted with vintage valves to maintain the full character including British Mullard EF86 high gain mic pre valvesI have a couple of these for sale and the photo is an example of a unit we recently sold
The module is supplied completely tested and working but you will have to do some work to rack it up and get going. All info can be supplied on how to do this.Not shown in the photo but will be included and wired in are 2 x Broadcast grade Carnhill line output transformers. Will be fitted to the module to give a transformer balanced 600 ohm line outputWhat is not included but you will want to get it going are :-Mic input transformers with around a 1:7 step up ratio for mic input or line input transformers if you want to use as a line only pre.
