This Fender Stratocaster American Standard outfit was a surprise 50th birthday gift for me in 2002 when I had just started taking lessons on an acoustic.It was graciously received, put aside, and I continued with the acoustic lessons but made little progress, probably on account of business commitments and age.The Fender was quietly tucked away and has never left my home. Occasionally I have taken it out to check over and clean, but quickly put away. I'm retired now and unlikely to take ever up this fine instrument. I now feel that it would make a fine Christmas gift for someone looking to buy the best one they can buy without paying new shop prices.I have given brief specification details above, further details are stated on the original specification details i have with the guitar, eg., Solid Alder or Ash body, Rosewood fingerboard, Maple Neck, 22 Medium Jumbo Nickel Silver Frets,Fender Delta Tone Pickup System, Staggered Cast/Sealed Machines, Micro Tilt Neck Adjustment, Patented Bi Flex Truss Rod. MADE IN USA. The original bill of sale states a price paid of £769, i checked with the original music shop supplier who advised me that with changes that have occurred in recent times, a new replacement for this model today would be £1,000. The condition of this Fender Stratocaster can only be described totally immaculate, 'As New', which is evident upon inspection. The guitar comes with all of the original Fender Tickets, Fender Stickers,Fender Owners Manuals,Owners Registration Card, Fender Soft Cloth (unopened), Fender Guitar Strap (Unused), Tremelo Arm, Special Fender Tools (sealed), Fender Lifetime Guarantee and a quality unmarked fur lined Fender Hard Case with inside Cubby and original Key! I'm not doing an auction, the guitar has been professionally inspected so I'll just ask what its worth and accept a good offer in that region. To summarise, if you want a Fender Stratocaster which has never been used, is completely immaculate, as good as new with all original supporting documentation intact and a superb Fender hard case to keep it in, please contact me to view before purchase.
