Very well used / traveled / beat up Gibson Banner, believed to be a J45. Rosewood fretboard, looks like Mahogany back and sides. Guitar is fun to play, doesn't have amazingly loud sound but plays well and the neck is fairly straight. Everything (body, neck, bridge, tuners, frets, binding) look original except for the pegs. Now for the bad. Guitar has been coated with some sort of sealant, almost like shellac. It is thick and everywhere. Bracing looks like it has failed, saddle appeared to have pulled up and has been re-glued back down. There is visible warping to the whole top of the guitar. Sealant applied to the guitar is not thick on the back or sides but is still very apparent where the neck joins the body, presumably where it has also been repaired. Nut needs a small shim (paper) to keep from buzzing. There is a small amount of rust on the back of the tuners. Pegs do not all match. Looking at the left side of the face of the guitar it looks like the wood split, there is about a 4" section that caved from the bracing failing. Please feel free to ask questions, or if you need more pictures. I am not a luthier. I have tried to be thorough but could have overlooked something.
