I have never seen another piccolo by this woodwind manufacturer! The three pieces are wood and silver All the Pads seal tightly The Corks are intact Buffet Crampon tells me it is pre-1945. They cannot tell me the year, because they stated that their records prior to then were destroyed during WWII!!! I have owned it since 1982. It plays with a beautiful, dark, wood tone It comes in a truly unique leather pouch This is an instrument that would be a wonderful Christmas gift for a collector, graduate or professional musician!
