This the SAME shell as the original Black Beauty! What can I say here? "THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF ALL RECORDING SNARE DRUMS"!!! Literally, the greatest snare ever created. This is an amazing sounding Nickel over brass Ludwig from Chicago almost 100 years ago!....This drum has been on hundreds of records and has lived it's entire life with me in the studio being pampered and excellently maintained. This is an incredibly collectable drum as well as the best recording snare of all time!!!!! EVERYTHING on this drum works perfectly as NEW! 2 piece BRASS shell!!! She comes with CRIMPED snare beds, heavy 10lb. SOLID BRASS shell, NEW Chrome OVER Brass HOOPS, shell and hoops all perfectly in round, bearing edges are perfect and it tunes effortlessly. I have seen this drum go for $2000 and they don't come up for sale very often. This is THE ONE...get it here.
