As founding member and lead guitarist for Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi , is renowned for his high-powered playing style and driving riffs. Undoubtedly one of heavy metal music’s greatest influences, Iommi has deeply inspired succeeding generations of guitarists. The Tony Iommi signature model is constructed to the musician’s specifications using the patented, ultra thin, double-cutaway 1961 Les Paul SG body style, featuring the “slim taper” neck. The 24-fret ebony fingerboard is inlaid with stunning sterling silver accents, echoing Iommi’s trademark cross insignia. Construction: Scripted, one-piece, mahogany body with original-style 1961 neck joint, slim-taper mahogany neck Binding: While binding on neck Hardware: Chrome with satin chrome Sperzel tuners, Bridge / Tailpiece: ABR-1 bridge with stopbar tailpiece, Pickups: Two Tony Iommi Signature humbucking pickups, Fingerboard: Ebony with sterling silver cross inlays, Other Features: Graphite nut: Tony Iommi signature on peghead, concealed rim jack. This divine guitar, serial # TI – 131, has spent the majority of its life in its case. The guitar is in great condition with some very minor marks on the back - none of which break the ebony finish (black just shows everything). There is some paint checking below that bridge, a vintage sign of lacquer. Due to the early serial number, the guitar originally came with a brown USA case, which this guitar has. The lock on the case does not work. As Black Sabbath’s final tour, The End tour nears its end, what an opportune time to obtain a Tony Iommi signature guitar. This year, make your Christmas...
