Currency of this and all my sales is GBP £ Sterling you cannot purchase in any other currency!!!!Be sure to check out my new website atoyboyguitars for more details on me and more pics of this great item! This is a SUPERB and almost impossible to find original vintage 1958 Gretsch Country Gentleman model 6122 with original case in excellent condition with a nicely fihured top.Another pretty rare beast and one of only a few for sale worldwide at the moment.. This is an original 1958 Gretsch 6122 single cutaway Country Gentleman.Like all 6122's it is finished in a mahogany finish and this one does have some nice figuring on the wood, especially on the top (see pics). As far as I can tell, it is all original except maybe the nut. It is a metal nut but not a brass one. This is the '58 spec Country Gentleman that does not have the zero fret and has the Bigsby Bigsby rather than the Gretsch Bigsby. PAF Filtertron pickups sound amazing and very Duane and Chet like, all electrics are original and as far as I can see undisturbed solder. There is a small amount of the usual binding rot that I have pictured, some of it has been re-glued but it is not too bad, it seems pretty stable now and is all intact.Guitar plays very well on original frets on a nice fast ebony fingerboard. Action is very good with room to go lower or higher. Truss rod works in both directions and it has the original, black Gretsch case with the ribbon still intact.Does it twang...? Oh YES it sure does!!!
Please have a good look at the 20+ high resolution photos I have posted to fully appreciate the cool condition this beautiful guitar is inInspection is welcome, guitar is situated in Cheltenham.
