Custom built JEM DNA swirl, Multicolour Perle guitars in USA This is a Perle custom build Jem DNA replica which was assembled and setup by James Cargill. The body is poplar, with a nice swirl using the same multicolour scheme as the DNA’s. There is also a little extra pink to offset the colour scheme. The body has been clear coated with acrylic lacquer and has a high end finish. The neck is a lightly flamed and has an ebony fret board with the DNA vine and pearloid button inlays. The back of the neck has a light satin finish which feels very smooth and natural. The headstock looks like the Jem DNA with green Ibanez decal. Unlike the Ibanez JEM, this has the dual pick up configuration. I was never a fan of the middle pickup. I have used a 5-way super switch which gives typical split humbucker in 2 & 4 positions. Position three engages both singles coils. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Full Shred- Double Rows of Allen-screw adjustable pole pieces with four-conductor hook-up cable. The tone is fat and chunky, but perfectly defined for speed riffs. Unlike the DiMarzio Evolutions, these pickups are very versatile; Used for classic rock, heavy rock, hip hop, fusion and aggressive solo playing, etc. The pots are 500K. ALL parts are NEW! The tuners are Gotoh’s and the bridge is the Ibanez Edge Pro tremolo, which was at some point the standard floating bridge on the high end Ibanez models. The tremolo studs are the discontinued originals which can be locked in to their body anchors to give the most transmission of sound to the body. This also stops them from working loose after sustained use of the floating tremolo. The internally threaded tremolo arm can be adjusted This beautiful instrument has been given the full setup n service & restrung with D'Addario 9-46 for the Ultimate in tone n playability! It is setup with a killer low action! This is an all-round killer custom built guitar which would satisfy the fussiest of players! It is truly a shred machine & an absolute pleasure to play.
