Looking for a high quality American Made upright bass?   ALL are entirely hand made in Mystic, CT USA.  With the exception of parts made from metal such as strings every wooden part of every Upton Bass is made in our workshop.  No parts from subcontractors, or outside workshops.  We carve our own tops, backs, necks blocks, etc and even press our own plywood's from single veneers.  Just top quality materials come in our shipping docks and out the other end come fine double basses we are proud to sell.  Come see for yourself, and you will quickly appreciate the quality of work and passion we invest in EVERY double bass we make.     Why the trouble of making our own basses when we could import instruments like our competitors?  Complete control of QUALITY and continual product development in the production process.  We are listening to our instruments and players (many pro) and returning the feedback we receive directly back into the product, to make them continually better.  Our work and development is never done...
