Stunning DW Neil Peart / Rush Snakes & Arrows tour maple 6.5" x 14" VLT snare in Aztec red, gold leaf graphics and black nickel hardware. Includes Road Runner soft case for added protection during shipment and for storage when not played or on display.DW has made several different runs of Snakes & Arrows snare with different exterior plies/finishes. This one, however, in Aztec Red is the version used for the kit that DW made for Peart for the tour. This particular Snakes & Arrows snare was born on December 1, 2007 and, as such, it was manufactured between the European portion of the first leg of the tour (2007) and the second leg which was USA (2008).Unlike to-order Snakes & Arrows snare drums, this one has the correct gold badge for the era of the tour which, as it turns out, nicely complements the gold leaf graphics.These are very difficult to find, making this a rare opportunity. The only sign of previous ownership that I can detect, that is besides the batter head's use, is on the badge panel at 5 o'clock to the badge. It appears that something 'poked' the finish. There are no scratches around it. I have not touched this up in any fashion, but it is relatively minor and could be touched up to subdue it if someone wanted to. It looks larger in the photo because of the light that I used, and far more so than with the drum in one's hands.I am selling this and a wide variety of other percussion items in excellent used condition. Some have merely been sound-checked and others hardly played, but technically these are used since they've been owned. Although I have indicated 3 days to ship, my practice is to ship the day after your payment is made. Some cymbals may have some stick marks and fingerprints from handling. Only wood tip sticks have been used with this cymbal. All items have been cleaned and inspected before the photos were taken, and then pre-boxed for shipping. All items are sold as-is.
