Up for sale is this Yuriy Shishkov Masterbuilt Stratocaster neck.  I am parting out a 1954 masterbuilt stratocaster. Please check my other listings for the body, pick ups & pick guard, back plate, and bridge. This listing is for the neck and tuners only. Overall, the neck is in very good used condition. This masterbuilt was actually played, so the neck does show evidence of a light relic treatment, especially along the edges of the headstock, as well as the fingerboard edges. I'm not sure if this came as a relic from the factory, or if the original owner gave it a custom relic treatment, but it does add to the vibe. The back of the neck also evidence is a nice modest flame to the maple, which only adds to its appeal. The frets are in very good condition, showing modest wear along the first three frets, and much less up higher. The fingerboard itself looks very clean, with only one noticeable blemish near the ninth fret. The neck is definitely a mid 50s style "baseball bat" profile and thickness.  Some refer to this as a "U-shaped" neck. This was characteristic of 1954, 1955, and early 1956 strata caster is. I have an early 1956 vintage Strat, and this neck profile is almost exactly the same.   The tuners all work as they should, although the casing on the high E-tuner is bent very slightly. However this does not affect its functionality. Please see the pictures of the custom shop masterbuilt logo on the back of the headstock, as well as for the initials "YS 54" on the butt of the neck. These are the appropriate markings for a masterbuilt guitar. I've included a few shots of the body, back of the pick guard, and backplate to assure you of the originality of the part. The serial numbers were placed on the back plate of these guitars, just like the very first 1954 Stratocaster's. The back plate will be sold separately, but the neck plate and screws will be included in the sale. This neck is guaranteed to be a 100% original Fender masterbuilt part. These are not sold separately, and rarely come up for sale. Now is your chance to get the ultimate piece for your project guitar, or to get a spare, vintage spec correct neck for your vintage guitar. The price is $1999.99. Shipping is free to the domestic USA. International shipping will be through the eBay global shipping program. These faithful replications will be made with the same exacting detail as the original instruments, using many of the same machines and manufacturing methods used 50 years ago. Every deep body contour, pickup magnet and screw is a replica of a 1954 Strat. Each guitar will be built by a Custom Shop Master Builder and will feature a nitrocellulose lacquered, two-piece ash body with offset glue seam and one-piece “U”-shape maple neck. Also, this limited release includes three new Custom Shop Vintage 1954 Stratocaster pickups, an original synchronized tremolo with “Ash Tray” bridge cover, bone nut, special documentation and an original form-fit Brown case. This Closet Classic finished, 2-Color Sunburst limited release will be available from January 15 to December 31, 2004. You’ve waited 50 years for this day and we’ve taken every measure to make it worthwhile.
