True Authentic Spanish Guitar
Gabriela Casas Butterfly Rare One of the best builders from Spain. Now near impossible to find. This is so amazing, ALL HANDMADE! EVEN THE BINDING IS WOOD. and flamey.. FLAMEY WOOD at that. (Appears to be hard flame maple) And the necks heel cap is flamey tiger maple?? LOOKING... 100% CHOICE, C H O I C E Woods!
The TONE is very rich, deep and emotional.
VERY SPANISH, rich and thick. with a bright high end also
YOU DO NOT HEAR TONE LIKE THIS WITHOUT A SPRUCE TOP. And this guitar is many decades old, its lightweight, and DRY and JUST SINGS.. I mean it is one of the best tones I have heard from a guitar in a long time. The last guitar with tone like this was also Brazilian rosewood with spruce top ALSO. The combination of these woods makes a tone that is memorable and amazing... its bright and rich at the same time. I can say my martin D28 I owned did not sound this silky and soulfully RICH. Send email if you want a sound sample! I can just record one on my phone and send it to you. The neck is alot like a 60's J-50 contour...NORMAL neck, not super thick and chunky- A friend who plays Gibson, Gretsch and Fender says he has no issues with this neck, its
fatter than a modern "thin" straocaster but smaller than a bulkier telecaster neck - A nice
playable neck for any style or age. Tone that actually makes the player...fell like an even better guitar player due to the rich, sweet, Spanish tone this emits. • Rare Gabriela Casas Authentic Spanish handmade guitars • Rich Casas tone with rich deep tone & bright crisp sustain!
• A real good egg! LOW FAST ACTION.
• Amazing Brazilian rosewood used - see photos - guitar has tight old growth grains. WOW!
• great neck - thin, fast and playable. • Well built - by hand in Spain. Only glued after woods are dry and acclimated.
• Breathtaking TONE!!!! • It sounds like 2 guitars playing at once its so rich,
• Nice weight - plays great • Butterflies Brazilian rosewood • The Sand cast beautiful brass butterfly adorns head-stock
• Brazilian rosewood on back is butterflied so its breath-taking famous wood grain is"mirrored grain" on 2 pc back!
• Great binding • Label still intact • Built in late 1969 / to market in 1970. • woods like this are unheard of today • Built like a tank, But not heavy like a Gretsch Rancher or Gibson J-200
• Scratch on neck was repaired in late 70s. - estate had a note stating some limited neck work was done. - No issues now. Previous owner is said to have had the neck
finish touched up and coated in nitro cellulose so it plays "with amazing tone from solid spruce top"!!! The Black neck and black tuners with that cold brass metal butterfly and engraved detailed excellent tuners - is actually kind of cool and rich looking. Finish: You can tell a poly finish (plastic) from Nitro cellulose finish that ages and oxidizes. I can tell by the texture, look and smell (if you rub it fast with polish cloth) it is clearly Nitrocellulose vintage type of paint that was used to touch up neck scratch prev. owner fixed - now it plays fast and smooth. I can't see a scratch - all looks good and black finish plays fast due to nitro coating. Make offer if you want a lifelong player guitar you will love. ELECTRONICS The pickup installed is nearly invisible. its a 2 point (2 separate tone gathering points) One Piezo that is placed Under bridge using adhesive microphone point. The second was placed under the upper bout on players side, since science tells us the pickguard with restrict the top vibration a small amount. The result IS A GREAT OVER ALL TONE FROM A 2 POINT PICKUP invisibly hidden (other than 1/4" jack to plug into) - jack is not seen in pics. • ELECTRIC / ACOUSTIC. W switchcraft jack.
• plays great. A nice guitar overall Hard to see impact mark by input and a ding by sound hole. • Nice "C" neck. Not that weird chunky feeling neck... This is a nice straight standard neck. • Fingerboard has had a small age fissure on middle by soundhole. Not effecting play or moving at all- luthier stated fingerboard good for 150 years more.
• Has a standard guitar neck "C" shaped. • ( easy to play ) • Great weight • Sraight neck • good frets • No warping • A few small areas that show age.. But overall quite nice ! A lot of life left yet! • has old growth tight Brazilian rosewood which is amazing! Harvested many many many many decades ago.
I try to mention every thing I see, Has a few dings and scratches consistent w old guitar
Small fissure in fingerboard by soundhole, not moving or effecting play. Has thinner "C" profile neck. Like a J-50, Not a super-chunk fat classical neck liek others.
