This amp is an exact clone professionally build following original JMI VOX AC 15 schematics from 1961. All the components used to build this amp are of the highest available quality. The power and output transformers and a choke are Mercury Magnetics made in US, exact VOX AC 15 replacement. The original VOX AC 15 double chassis made in UK. The capacitors are SO-ZO (US) the pots, switches and impute jacks are 'CTS', and 'Carling' (US) and 'Cliff' (UK). The original Blue Selection 15 Watts Speaker with Al-NiCo magnet made in England. The VOX AC 15 'Thin Edge' Combo amp enclosure was professionally build by North Coast Music (US) made from the birch plywood and covered with original VOX fawn Tolex. This amp is the most sought after amp with the EF 86 pentode tube in the tone section. It has in total 8 electronic tubes: rectifier EZ 81, tone section vibrato-tremolo and phase inverter, EF 86, 3 x ECC 83, ECC 82 and 2 X EL 84 in the power section. It is a brand new amp it has already amazing VOX sound from '60, however, it will need some break-up time which is absolutely normal for a band new tube amplifier and speaker. The VOX AC 15 amp is a direct predecessor of VOX AC 30/4 which was essentially a double-powered VOX AC 15. The VOX amps were used by the best rock'and roll' groups from UK and Europe during late '50 and early '60. The VOX AC 15 was used by the Shadows, Beatles, Gerry and the Pace Makers and many other famous bands.
