The freedom to play piano in any way you choose with Piano Only, Pro  Kit or Furniture Kit options.Privia piano tones are sourced from recordings of world famous  concert grand pianos. Casio’s new AiR (Acoustic and intelligent  Resonator) sound source provides unmatched realism and detail. This  sound engine provides seamless dynamics for a remarkably expressive  and powerful performance. The capacity of the installed memory has  been largely expanded to allow longer samples and enhanced waveform  data quality, while the Lossless Audio Compression technology allows  reproduction of the original piano sample without deterioration of  the original sound quality. Fine nuances such as the length of note  reverberation and tonal colour are controlled by the player’s touch  – just as on an acoustic piano.New Speaker SystemThe PX160 introduces newly developed true-round speakers which are  designed to provide a highly refined, yet deep and powerful sound.  The new speaker system delivers the complex and intricate detail of  a piano sound in the most accurate manner possible across the range  from clear, delicate high tones, to powerful thumping bass tones.String ResonanceThe new AiR sound source reproduces the resonance created from using  the damper pedal naturally through the use of a stereo resonance  simulator for all 88 keys. The attention to detail goes so far as to  simulate the resonance created by the lifting of the dampers  themselves when the pedal is pressed. The resonance system allows  players to perform with an unprecedented amount of expressive  detail.Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II The new Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II responds to  subtle variations in the time between detection of a keystroke and  sound production, depending on the speed of the keystroke. The  system uses three sensors that detect the keystroke sequentially,  which also enables a sound to be produced repeatedly, even when the  key has not fully returned to its resting position. The action  relies solely on the weight of the hammer, which become  progressively heavier towards the lower end and progressively  lighter towards the higher end of the keyboard, simulating the  characteristic of the action on a grand piano.Line Out TerminalThe stereo Line Out terminal adds to the flexability of the PX-160,  allowing the piano to be connected to external sound equipment such  as an amp or PA system. This makes the PX160 a great choice for both  home use and studio or live performance situations. Simulated Ebony and Ivory Feel KeysThe simulated ebony and ivory keys offer the luxurious feel and  texture of a grand piano keyboard. The texture allows maximum grip  and avoids slipping of the fingers due to moisture. Designed With Flexibility In Mind The PX-160 can be used as a portable piano on its own, or combined  in the Furniture Kit options with the CS67BK slim design stand and  SP33 pedal board to create and attractive furniture piece to suit  any home interior design. Also included in the Furniture Kit is a  matching height adjustable piano bench. The piano is easily detached  from the stand for maximum portability. Or choose the Pro Kit  package which includes an SC700P padded gig bag and SP20 sustain  pedal - great for the performer who needs to transport the digital  piano from home to the gig. Whatever your scenario, the PX-160 can  handle them all.
