The mixer is available in frame sizes up to 48 channels, with the choice of all mono, 4 or 8 stereo channels. It has a stylish integral meter bridge with 11 LED-illuminated, moving coil VU meters with built-in peak indicators. This provides the best of both VU and peak responding LED metering. The GL3800 uses the same silky smooth, high quality dual rail faders found in top end consoles costing many times the price. It offers a stylish, large format, premium quality option to the lower priced GL2800, with 10 auxes, including a dedicated stereo aux for creating stereo recording or monitor feeds. As a monitor console, you get up to 14 mixes such as 8 wedges and 3 stereo IEM, complete with dedicated engineer’s monitor control using the M fader. The new 74dB range mic preamp can handle the widest range of signals you are ever likely to encounter. The GL3800 boasts responsive 4 band EQ, 100Hzchannel high pass filters, individual phantom power and polarity switching, and 8 audio groups. A 12x4 Matrix provides a quick way to create studio quality IEM mixes with ambience and "more me" control. You even get matrix talk back and mono or stereo monitoring. Other features include electronically balanced XLR outputs with +26dBu drive capability, a built-in combiner for redundant backup PSU, metal jacks, gold-plated XLRs, sealed pots and switches, an individual circuit card assembly with nutted pots, solid copper bus bar grounding, a Sys-Link V2 console linking option, a built-in oscillator/pink noise generator with patchable output, extensive metering, and much more.
