If you've never played a full Rosewood neck, do yourself a favor and try it out. Not only does it just feel soft, smooth and fast, it also adds noticable sustain to your notes. In the electronics department, the 513 is light years ahead of the pack. Everything you need to know about it is in the name: There are 5 pickups with 13 different combinations in this axe. The crazy thing is it doesn't feel cluttered or cumbersome in the least. One blade switch is a 5-way selector, and the other is a 3-way mode switch that allows you to select between singlecoil, clear humbucking and heavy humbucking mode. So it's kind of like a guitar with five single coils, but it's also the standard 2-humbucker setup with a single in the middle. Or it can be an H/S/S or S/S/H setup. Other features on this axe include a slightly longer 25 1/4" scale length, dark Gaboon Ebony fretboard, a PRS tremolo bridge and PRS Phase III Locking Tuners. You'll have a tough time exhausting the possibilities of this guitar.
