Class:
Description Brand: Hofner Country/Region of Manufacture: Germany Right-/ Left-Handed: Right-Handed Model: Colorama Size: Full Size Body Type: Solid Body Colour: red String Configuration: 6 String
Hofner ColoramaThis is a nice old Colorama, made in Germany in 1964 according to my researchand serial number. It is finished in red as were many solid body Hofners, with a black scratchplate whichcontains the two ''Diamond'' pickups each with volume and tone controls - the pickupsare working well and the control knobs are certainly Hofner knobs which I'm sureare also original. The bridge is fully adjustable and there is a tremolo tailpiece allcomplete and working but the arm appears to be a shorter replacement. The maple neck is bolted on and with a rosewood fingerboard which has twenty-twofrets. The headstock, also maple has the six on a side tuners which are replacementsbut very similar to the originals; and the ''Hofner'' logo. There are a few knocks and bumps on the body and two holes near the top strap pinwhich appear to be extra strap pin holes. There is very little wear to the neck at allor to the headstock and this guitar plays very well - not all original but looks very good and it sounds great.
