1980 Ibanez AR50 with the original Super 70s pickups. If you're looking for a collectors piece, keep looking. I'd rate this one a 6/10, cosmetically. There are no cracks or chips into the wood, but there are plenty of dings, dents, scratches, areas where the clear coat has chipped off, and a healthy amount of buckle rash. However, if you're looking for an instrument to play, look no further. I'd give it a 9/10 in terms of playability. I was able to get the action down to about 4/64" on the low E and 3/64" on the high e at the 12th fret without any buzzing at any fret. The truss rod adjusts easily and the neck it responsive. The frets do show some wear. Most have slight indentations from the strings and some flattening. However, fretted notes ring cleanly, and there is plenty of fret left. The one functional issue is that there are few dings on the back of the neck, one or two of which are big enough to feel.It does not come with a case, but I have lots of experience shipping guitars without cases.
