I'm selling my Ibanez JS6 Joe Satriani model. This is the mahoghany-bodied hardtail Satriani model introduced in 1992/93 and only about 350 of these were made. I've owned this guitar for about a year now and I'm moving on to other instruments, but owning this has been fun as it's a rare axe you don't see or get to play every day. There's some wear on the body and the neck. Pressure dings near the jack and lower bout and some filled holes where someone installed a synth pickup system at some point. The finish has worn thin on the neck but the neck itself of fine. The frets are in good condition, as is the fretboard. The headstock has some wear on the decal and at some point a "#6" was written in sharpie on the side of the headstock. I've been unable to remove it and do not want to damage the finish attempting to do so. The only things I've done to were give it a set-up and have a new nut cut for it, both by by OC Guitar Works. The previous one was not original and was done very well. Otherwise the guitar is bone stock and has all the original gear on it. Please message me to obtain the serial number, which I have omitted from pictures. Minor wear aside, this guitar sounds very good - resonant and very expressive, very vibey. It doesn't play like a typical Ibanez - it's darker and more throaty - great for hard rock! The wood also has some cool figuring to it. I've seen ones that were in much worse condition for much more money, so grab this while you can! I'm throwing a good gig bag in with the purchase.Reasonable offers will be considered. I'm not desperate to sell this instrument, and please keep the rarity of these guitars in mind when making offers.Physical specs can be found with a quick Google search. If you have any questions, just let me know. Thanks!
