What even is this thing? 1978 Fujigen/Roland GS-500/GR-500 Guitar Control and Synthesizer! More switches than you’ll know what to do with! Ever wanted to make spaceship noises with a guitar? Here’s your chance! Kidding aside, this is an amazing piece of guitar history. Made only for a short time, and the first guitar controlled synthesizer ever produced. Fujigen and Roland teamed up and really pushed the boundaries with the technology available at the time. Single humbucker pickup for guitar output, and a “hexaphonic” pickup coupled with each fret being attached to the circuit for synth signal. This set has been recently serviced and tuned, everything functions flawlessly. Overall in excellent condition less some hardware tarnish, light play wear and some minor dings. Comes complete with a hardshell case and the original instruction book!
